All the stress can have an adverse effect on your skin as well as your sanity. It pays to be organised to make sure the lead up to the big night runs as smooth as possible.

Blanco can help take some of the stress out of planning for your big night. From creating and monitoring a skin regime, picking and experimenting with the best spay tanning colours and products, meeting your personal waxing needs and planning your makeup look. Planning these how these things will happen and staying organised will help everything seamlessly come together to make you look great. Fit in a massage in the days before and your mind and body will be 100% ready for your big night.

Skin Care

Healthy skin leads to great looking skin. It pays to get organised and take care of you skin. 8-10 weeks out from your formal you will want to start exfoliating your skin weekly using a deep cleansing exfoliant. This will give your skin time to adapt to any treatment and increase the chances of your skin transforming its glow and softer touch. Blanco has an excellent Epicure exfoliant for this purpose available in store on online here. At an average cost under $1 a day over 8 weeks, this won’t break the budget but is a necessity for your formal 

preparations. If you don’t already own one, a you can also purchase a exfoliating mitt.

Lastly grab your favourite moisturiser and moisturise your skin daily!

Make Up

Prepare early! 6-8 weeks out from your formal or event book your makeup appointment and makeup trial. This avoids the stress of running around at the last minute trying to find a suitable makeup artist. This also gives you a chance to consult with your artist about different looks and products that will suit you, so you are sure to be happy when the big night comes around.

 

At Blanco we will consult with you using a personal face chart, use any research material you have obtained and identify the best products to use for your face and skin type. So make that appointment and sit down and start flicking through those magazines to find your inspiration.

 

This is also the time to make your hair appointment and start thinking about hair and colours. To keep efficient, Dusenburg Hair Salon is located downstairs from Blanco and offers over 30 years in the hair industry. Just ask us if you would like assistance making your hair appointment.

Tanning

2 weeks before getting glammed up you need to be thinking about what skin colour is going to look the best under lights and for photographs. This is not something you want to get wrong as the tone of your skin needs to look tanned but not too dark that you are forever immortalised in your formal photographs looking like a chocolate bar. If your purchase all your beauty treatments as part of the Blanco Formal Package you will receive a complementary spay tan 2 weeks before the night to make sure your tone is looking just right.

Waxing

The week of the formal you will need to concentrate on being smooth. Not just with your moves but also your legs (and maybe a bit more if you’re adventurous). Between 3-7 days is the is the ideal time to get your waxing sorted out, leaving time for redness to disappear so we can move onto the final touches.

 

Massage

2 Days before formal night. It’s getting close now and things can seem hectic and stressful. This is no good for your mind and soul and can also affect your skin. Take half an hour out to enjoy a Blanco signature massage and relax your mind. It will keep you thinking clearer and be able to maintain your poise and confidence.

 

 

The Day of the Formal.

This is where all the hard work you have done over the last 8 weeks comes to fruition and the results really show. It’s time to come in for your final spray tan and make up application. You have no worries as you know your spray tan colour will suit and your make up will look glamorous.
